Exponent China Visits Zhejiang University

On December 14, Exponent China’s Hangzhou office conducted its first campus recruiting activity at Zhejiang University, one of the top universities in Hangzhou, China. The General Manager of Hangzhou office, Brad McGoran, made a successful presentation entitled, “A Failure Analysis Case Study,” with nearly a hundred Master- and Ph.D.-level candidates attending. As an entirely new industry in China, Exponent China attracted a large amount of interest from the Chinese students. With the growth of the office, Zhejiang University promises to be a source of talented professionals for us.

Exponent China visits Fangyuan Test Group of Zhejiang Province

Managers and Engineers from Exponent’s China office visited Fangyuan Test Group of Zhejiang Province on December 5th, 2006. Mr. Brad McGoran, General Manager of the China office, had an in-depth discussion with the leaders of the Fangyuan Group and gave them an introduction about Exponent Inc during the meeting. The team also visited the Fangyuan testing laboratories for consumer electronics, mechanical and electrical products, metals and materials. Fangyuan Group is a third party notarization institution having the broadest test scope and the most comprehensive technical strength compared to other labs in Zhejiang Province; the company is listed at the top of this industry in China. Exponent to co-organize 6th China International Battery Technology and Market Forum

Exponent will co-organize the 6th China (Shanghai) International Battery Technology and Market Forum at Shanghai Mart, Shanghai, China, on October 10-12, 2006.
This forum is a high level international forum concerning technology and industry in the chemistry and electric power supply fields. Renowned specialists, scholars, and enterprise elites will give plenary lectures and topical reports. The forum will focus on green secondary batteries, clean energy, and advanced power batteries (including the Li-ion battery, Li-polymer battery, Ni-Metal Hydride battery, Value Regulated Lead Acid battery, fuel cell battery, super capacitor, solar cell, solar photovoltaic system, etc.) and advanced battery materials, testing technology and accessories. In-depth studies and discussion will be held for the development of new technologies, applications, industry evolution and battery markets. The forum aims at creating a communication platform for the exchange of new theories, new technologies, and new production methods in the field of battery science.
